If you passed the extraordinary opposition for the Judicial Assistance Corps of the Administration of Justice in Galicia, you have a very short deadline to act. The General Directorate of Justice of the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Sports of Galicia has published, through a resolution of May 22, 2026, the vacant positions available in its territory for candidates approved in the extraordinary selective process called by Order JUS/1327/2022, of December 28.
The deadline starts from the publication of the final list of approved candidates in the BOE, and the application must be made exclusively electronically. Failing to act in time has direct consequences: the allocation of destination becomes completely independent of your preferences.
What does this regulation establish?
The resolution publishes the positions of the Judicial Assistance Corps that have been left vacant in the scope of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, and which are now offered to candidates approved in the extraordinary selective process for access through competitive examination, open competition.

The rules for application and allocation are as follows:
- The request for destination must be made electronically through sede.xunta.gal.
- The deadline is 10 business days counted from the publication of the final list of approved candidates in the BOE.
- Each candidate must request at least as many positions as their opposition number.
- The allocation has mandatory and final character, equivalent to a merit competition.
- After allocation, there is a 2-year mobility restriction.
- Those who do not apply or do not obtain any of the requested positions will be mandatorily assigned in alphabetical order of municipalities.
Economic and operational impact
Although this resolution does not imply direct costs for private companies, it has very relevant operational consequences for the affected candidates:
- Final destination with no possibility of change for 2 years: the allocation is equivalent to a merit competition, which means that the destination obtained will be the workplace for at least two years, with all the implications of relocation, housing and work-life balance that this entails.

Practical example
Suppose an approved candidate has opposition number 5. According to the rules of this resolution, they must request at least 5 positions in their electronic form. If there are only 3 positions available in Galicia (O Barco de Valdeorras, Lugo and Pontevedra), they must also include positions from other autonomous communities to meet the minimum requirement.
If this candidate does not submit an application within the 10 business days from the publication of the final list in the BOE, they will be mandatorily assigned to the municipality that corresponds in alphabetical order among the unallocated positions, without being able to claim any preference. What should approved candidates do now?
- Verify the publication of the final list in the BOE: the 10 business day deadline starts from that date, not from the publication of this resolution. Check the BOE daily until it appears.
- Check your opposition number: determine the minimum number of positions you must include in your application. If your number is, for example, 4, you must request at least 4 positions.
- Access sede.xunta.gal and complete the electronic application: paper applications or other methods are not accepted. Make sure you have an active digital certificate or Cl@ve before the deadline begins.
- Order the positions by actual preference: include O Barco de Valdeorras, Lugo and Pontevedra in the order you prefer, keeping in mind that the allocation will be final and with a 2-year mobility restriction.
- Save the submission receipt: the electronic application must generate an acknowledgment of receipt. Keep it as proof of having acted within the deadline.
- Do not fail to apply: if you do not submit an application or do not obtain any of the requested positions, you will be mandatorily assigned in alphabetical order of municipalities, without the possibility of appealing the preference.
