The Order publishes the vacant and unfilled positions of the Court Management and Administrative Body of the Administration of Justice in the territorial scope of the Basque Country, corresponding to the extraordinary selection process by competitive examination in open competition convened by Order JUS/1327/2022.

The allocation rules are as follows:

• The destination request must be submitted electronically, using electronic certificates accepted by the Basque Government.
• The deadline is 10 business days counted from publication in the Official Gazette (June 5, 2026).
• Allocation is made by scoring order obtained in the selection process.
• If an approved candidate does not submit a request within the deadline, the destination is assigned to them by force.
• The assigned destination has definitive character.
• Participation in transfer competitions is not allowed until two years have elapsed since taking office.

Economic and operational impact

For approved candidates, the practical consequences of this order are immediate and have direct impact on their professional and personal lives:

• Geographic mobility: Destinations are concentrated in Bilbao and Getxo. Those residing outside Bizkaia must assess the cost of a possible change of residence.
• Mobility freeze for two years: Once the destination is assigned, the civil servant cannot compete for another position for 24 months. This limits the ability to relocate if the assigned destination is not the preferred one.
• Risk of forced assignment: Not acting within the 10 business days is equivalent to losing the ability to choose. The system will automatically assign an available position according to the scoring order, without possibility of preference.
• Electronic certificate requirement: The request is exclusively online with certificates accepted by the Basque Government. Anyone without one must obtain it before the deadline expires.

Who does it affect?

• Candidates who have passed the extraordinary selection process convened by the Order JUS/1327/2022, of December 28, in the competitive examination modality, open competition, for the Court Management and Administrative Body of the Administration of Justice.
• Approved candidates whose destination scope corresponds to the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country.
• Applicants who have not yet formalized their destination request in the Basque territory.

This regulation does not affect private companies, self-employed individuals, or other bodies of the Administration of Justice other than the Court Management and Administrative Body.

Practical example

A candidate approved in the JUS/1327/2022 process obtains a score that places them at position 45 on the list of approved candidates with destination in the Basque Country. The Order is published on June 5, 2026, so the 10 business day deadline expires approximately on June 19, 2026 (excluding holidays).

If this candidate submits their electronic request within the indicated deadline indicating as first preference a position in the Common Processing Services in Bilbao, the allocation will be made respecting the scoring order: candidates with higher scores choose first. If at the time of their turn that position is already filled, they will be assigned the next available one according to their declared preferences.

If the same candidate does not submit a request before the deadline expires, the Administration assigns them by force the position that corresponds by scoring among the remaining vacancies, without being able to claim any preference. Furthermore, once taking office, they must remain in that destination for a minimum of two years before being able to request a transfer.

What should approved candidates do now?

1. Verify the exact deadline: Count the 10 business days from June 5, 2026, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and official holidays in the Basque Country. The approximate expiration is June 19, 2026.
2. Obtain or verify the electronic certificate: Check that you have an electronic certificate accepted by the Basque Government (DNIe, FNMT certificate or other recognized ones). If you don't have one, request it urgently given the tight deadline.
3. Consult the complete list of positions: Review the full text of the Order in the Official Gazette of June 5, 2026 to know the exact list of available positions in Bilbao and Getxo.
4. Order your destination preferences: Decide the order of preference among the available destinations (Commercial Courts, Violence Against Women Courts, Instruction Courts, Provincial Public Prosecutor's Office, Common Processing Services in Bilbao and positions in Getxo) before submitting your request.
5. Submit the electronic request within the deadline: Access the electronic office enabled by the Basque Government and formalize your destination request within the 10 business day deadline. Save the submission receipt.
6. Not acting equals forced assignment: If the deadline is exceeded without a request, the Administration will automatically assign a destination according to scoring order, without possibility of choice.
