If you passed the opposition exams for the Judicial Assistance Corps of the Administration of Justice in the extraordinary 2022 call, the clock is already ticking. The Order PJC/559/2026, published in the BOE on June 5, 2026, opens the destination selection process for the 55 vacant positions that the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts makes available to approved candidates.
Not acting within the deadline does not mean losing a position: it means losing the ability to choose. The forced destination is assigned by alphabetical order of localities, without taking into account the candidate's preferences.
What does this regulation establish?
Order PJC/559/2026 publishes the list of vacant positions corresponding to the scope of the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts that are offered to approved candidates in the extraordinary selection process for the Judicial Assistance Corps, called by Order JUS/1327/2022.
The provinces where the available positions are concentrated are:
- Madrid
- Toledo
- Burgos
- Segovia
- Castilla-La Mancha (other localities)
The rules of the destination selection process are as follows:
| Aspect | Detail |
|---|---|
| Request channel | Email to concursos.admonjusticia@mjusticia.es |
| Deadline | 10 business days from publication in the BOE (June 5, 2026) |
| Minimum positions to request | As many as the candidate's order number on the approved list |
| Award criterion | By order of score obtained in the selection process |
| Nature of award | Final, equivalent to destination by competition |
| Subsequent restriction | Cannot participate in new competitions for 2 years |
| Consequence of not applying | Forced destination assigned by alphabetical order of localities |
| Consequence of not obtaining any requested position | Forced destination assigned by alphabetical order of localities |
Economic and operational impact
For approved candidates, the impact is not economic in the strict sense, but rather one of working conditions and geographical mobility. Choosing the right destination now has consequences that extend for at least two years, as the award blocks participation in new transfer competitions during that period.
The critical points to consider are:
- Relocation cost: A forced destination in an undesired locality may involve moving expenses, temporary accommodation, and travel costs that the candidate must bear.
- Mobility blockade for 2 years: The award is final and equivalent to a destination obtained by competition. For 24 months, you will not be able to apply for other positions.
- Risk of forced destination: Those who do not apply or do not obtain any of the requested positions will be assigned by alphabetical order of localities, which may result in destinations in small municipalities or far from the usual residence.
- Obligation to request a minimum number of positions: Each candidate must request at least as many positions as their order number on the list, which requires careful planning of preferences.
Who does it affect?
- People who have passed the extraordinary selection process for the Judicial Assistance Corps of the Administration of Justice called by Order JUS/1327/2022, of December 28.
- Candidates who do not yet have a destination assigned and are pending position award.
- Approved candidates with an order number on the list that requires them to request multiple positions (as many as their position on the provisional list).
This regulation does not affect active officials of the Judicial Assistance Corps, nor candidates from other calls or different corps.
Practical example
Imagine you are candidate number 12 on the approved list. This means you must request at least 12 positions out of the 55 available, ordered by preference.
If among your 12 requested positions you include destinations in Madrid and Toledo (two of the provinces with the highest concentration of positions), and your score is high enough, the award will be resolved in your favor in one of those localities. The resolution is final: you will not be able to change destination by competition until two years have passed.
If, instead, you do not send the email to concursos.admonjusticia@mjusticia.es within 10 business days from June 5, or if you request few positions and none are awarded to you due to insufficient score, you will receive a forced destination in the locality that corresponds by alphabetical order among the uncovered positions, with no possibility of choice.
What should approved candidates do now?
- Check the official list of 55 positions published in the BOE of June 5, 2026 to know exactly what destinations are available in Madrid, Toledo, Burgos, Segovia, and Castilla-La Mancha.
- Find your order number on the approved list: that number determines the minimum number of positions you must request. If you are number 8, you must request at least 8 positions.
- Prepare your destination request by email to concursos.admonjusticia@mjusticia.es before the 10 business days from June 5, 2026 expire. Calculate the deadline by counting only business days (exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays).
- Order your preferences strategically: include first the positions in your preferred locality or province, and complete up to the required minimum with other acceptable options. Avoid requesting only the most sought-after positions if your score is not among the highest.
- Keep the email receipt: the date and time of sending are decisive to prove that you have met the deadline. Request a delivery confirmation if possible.
- Plan the relocation: once the position is awarded, the destination is final for at least two years. Assess the costs of moving and accommodation before ordering your preferences.
Frequently asked questions
How many positions are available and in which provinces?
Order PJC/559/2026 publishes 55 vacant positions distributed mainly in Madrid, Toledo, Burgos, Segovia, and Castilla-La Mancha. These are positions within the scope of the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts corresponding to the extraordinary selection process called by Order JUS/1327/2022.
What is the deadline to request a destination and how is it done?
The deadline is 10 business days counted from publication in the BOE, that is, from June 5, 2026. The request is made exclusively by email to concursos.admonjusticia@mjusticia.es. No other channels are accepted.
How many positions must I request at minimum?
You must request at least as many positions as your order number on the approved list. For example, if you are number 15 on the list, you must include at least 15 positions in your request, ordered by preference.
What happens if I do not request a destination or do not obtain any of the requested positions?
If you do not submit a request within the deadline, or if you submit a request but are not awarded any of the requested positions (due to insufficient score), you will receive a forced destination assigned by alphabetical order of localities, with no possibility of choice.
Can I change destination after the award?
Not during the first two years. The award has final character and is equivalent to a destination obtained by competition. This implies a restriction on participating in new transfer competitions for 2 years from taking office in the awarded destination.
