Approved Judicial Assistance 2026: final list and steps for appointment

New approved candidates are added to the final list of the Judicial Assistance Corps of the Administration of Justice. The Order PJC/794/2026, of July 22, modifies Order PJC/91/2025, of January 24, and publishes in its annex the applicants who passed the extraordinary selection process after the first publication. If your name appears in that annex, the clock is already running: you must act before the deadlines for requesting a position expire.

The selection process originates from the Order JUS/1327/2022, of December 28, which called for positions in the free category through the competitive examination system. Since then, the resolution of the process has occurred in different territorial waves, which has required publishing this modification to incorporate those who passed after the January 2025 order.

What does this regulation establish?

Order PJC/794/2026 introduces the following specific elements:

• Expansion of the approved annex: the new applicants who have passed the process after Order PJC/91/2025 are published, organized by territorial scope and category.
• Position limit by territory: the number of positions awarded cannot exceed the total called for each territorial scope, regardless of the number of approved candidates.
• Position request: those included in the annex must submit a position request in accordance with the deadlines and requirements set by the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts and the competent autonomous communities.
• Information on appointment: all procedures for appointment as a civil servant will be published on the website of the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts.
• Appeal options: against this resolution, an appeal for reconsideration may be filed within 1 month or an administrative litigation appeal within 2 months, both counted from its publication in the BOE on July 31, 2026.

This order does not replace the previous list, but rather expands and completes it. Order PJC/91/2025 from January 2025 remains valid for approved candidates already published at that time; the new order adds those who passed the process after that date.

Economic and operational impact

For the affected candidates, the impact is immediate and direct:

• Access to a civil service position in the Judicial Assistance Corps, with the job stability and compensation that this entails.
• Position choice limited by territorial quota: since the number of positions awarded cannot exceed the total called for by territory, approved candidates who appear later on the list may see their position options limited in autonomous communities with higher demand.
• Critical deadlines for position requests: failing to submit the request within the set deadline may result in loss of the right to appointment. The exact deadlines will be set by the Ministry and each competent autonomous community, and will be published on the ministry website.
• Available remedies: if an approved candidate believes their inclusion, exclusion, or position on the list is incorrect, they have 1 month for an appeal for reconsideration and 2 months for administrative litigation from July 31, 2026.

Who does it affect?

• Approved candidates in the extraordinary selection process for the Judicial Assistance Corps called by Order JUS/1327/2022, who passed the process after January 2025 and appear in the annex of Order PJC/794/2026.
• Candidates already included in the list of Order PJC/91/2025 from January 2025, who should be aware of the deadlines for requesting a position if they have not yet completed their appointment.
• Autonomous communities with transferred competencies in Justice matters, which must set and publish their own deadlines and requirements for position requests.
• Advisors and examination managers who assist candidates in the appointment process.

Practical example

A candidate who passed the examination phase in the territorial scope of the Valencian Community in the second half of 2025—that is, after Order PJC/91/2025 from January 2025—did not appear on the list published at that time. With Order PJC/794/2026, their name is incorporated into the official annex, organized by territorial scope and free category.

As of July 31, 2026, this candidate must:

1. Verify that their name appears correctly in the annex published in the BOE.
2. Check the website of the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts to learn the deadline and requirements for requesting a position in their autonomous community.
3. Submit the position request within the established deadline, keeping in mind that available positions in their territory cannot exceed the total called for that scope.
4. If they detect an error in their inclusion or position, file an appeal for reconsideration before August 31, 2026 (1 month from publication) or administrative litigation before September 30, 2026 (2 months from publication).

What should approved candidates do now?

1. Check the BOE annex: access the Order PJC/794/2026 published on July 31, 2026 and verify that your name appears correctly in the annex, organized by territorial scope and free category.
2. Monitor the Ministry website: all information about the procedure for appointment as a civil servant will be published on the website of the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts. Set up alerts or review it regularly.
3. Contact the competent autonomous community: the deadlines and requirements for position requests are set by both the Ministry and autonomous communities with transferred competencies in Justice. Identify which one applies to you and check their official channels.
4. Submit the position request on time: failing to do so may result in loss of the right to appointment. Keep in mind that the number of positions per territory is limited and cannot be exceeded.
5. Act if you detect an error: you have 1 month (until August 31, 2026) to file an appeal for reconsideration, or 2 months (until September 30, 2026) for administrative litigation, if you believe your situation on the list is incorrect.
