Justice Competitive Exams 2026: Date of First Exam and Final Venues for Management, Processing and Judicial Assistance

• Final lists published: each body has its own annex with admitted and excluded candidates. Excluded candidates can consult the specific reason for their exclusion in the corresponding annex.
• Date and time of first exercise: October 3, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands; at 8:00 a.m. in the Canary Islands.
• Single call: all candidates are called in the same session, without partial calls by surname or other criteria.
• Exam venues published: each admitted candidate has a specific venue assigned where they must present themselves on exam day.
• Incidents room: excluded candidates who have challenged the exclusion resolution may take the exam conditionally by going to the incidents room enabled at each venue.
• Admission does not guarantee compliance with requirements: being on the admitted list does not imply that the Administration recognizes that the candidate meets all the requirements of the call. That verification will only be carried out for those who pass the competitive exam.

Economic and operational impact

For candidates, this resolution has immediate practical consequences:

• Confirmation of admission status: it is essential to verify whether you are on the admitted or excluded list before October 3. A candidate who does not check their status and does not attend the exam loses the opportunity to access a civil service position.
• Assigned exam venue: each candidate must locate their venue before exam day. Attending an incorrect venue is equivalent to not showing up.
• Active appeal deadline: from September 7, 2026, the one-month deadline for administrative review and two-month deadline for administrative litigation run. Anyone who has been excluded and does not appeal within the deadline permanently loses the right to participate.
• Conditional exam for appellants: excluded candidates who have already challenged their exclusion should not wait for the appeal resolution to take the exam: they must go to the incidents room on October 3 if they want to keep the option to participate.

Who does it affect?

• Candidates who applied for the selective tests for the Procedural and Administrative Management Body of the Administration of Justice.
• Candidates for the Procedural and Administrative Processing Body of the Administration of Justice.
• Candidates for the Judicial Assistance Body of the Administration of Justice.

Practical example

Imagine that a candidate for the Procedural and Administrative Processing Body receives notification that they have been excluded from the final lists due to a documentary defect. Order PJC/937/2026 opens two paths for them:

1. Administrative review: they have until October 7, 2026 (one month from publication on September 7) to file it with the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts.
2. Conditional exam: if they have already filed the appeal before October 3, they can go to the incidents room at their venue on exam day and take the test. If the appeal ultimately succeeds, their exam will be valid; if it does not succeed, it will be void.

If that same candidate does not appeal and does not go to the incidents room on October 3, they lose all possibility of participating in this selective process, regardless of the subsequent outcome of any informal claim.

What should candidates do now?

1. Check the final lists in the BOE: access the annexes of the Order PJC/937/2026 and verify your admission status in the corresponding body.
2. Locate your assigned exam venue: identify the center and exact address before October 3 to avoid logistical issues on exam day.
3. If you are excluded, act immediately: file an administrative review before October 7, 2026 or administrative litigation before November 7, 2026. Do not wait until the last day.
4. If you have appealed, go to the incidents room on October 3: present yourself at your assigned venue and go to the incidents room to take the exam conditionally. Failing to do so is equivalent to giving up the position.
5. Review that admission does not guarantee compliance with requirements: even if you are listed as admitted, the Administration will verify compliance with all requirements of the call only if you pass the competitive exam. Make sure your documentation is in order.
