If you passed the selective process for internal promotion to the Procedural and Administrative Processing Body of Justice called by Order PJC/150/2024, of February 19, the clock is already running. The Resolution of June 12, 2026 from the Ministry of Finance, Justice and European Affairs of the Principality of Asturias publishes the available positions and opens the deadline for each person who passed to choose—within the limits set by the regulation—their destination.

Failing to act within the deadline does not exempt you from assignment: this is mandatory according to the ranking order, with or without a submitted application.

What does this regulation establish?

The resolution publishes the list of vacant positions in the territorial scope of the Principality of Asturias that are offered to those who passed the selective process called by Order PJC/150/2024. The positions are distributed in the following municipalities:

Municipality
Oviedo
Gijón
Avilés
Mieres
Langreo
Other municipalities in the Principality of Asturias

The rules of the assignment process are as follows:

  • Application deadline: 10 business days from publication in the BOE (25/06/2026).
  • Minimum number of positions to request: each applicant must request a number of positions equal, at minimum, to their applicant number. If you are applicant number 20, you must include at least 20 positions in your application.
  • Mandatory assignment: the assignment is made according to the ranking obtained in the selective process, regardless of whether an application is submitted or not.
  • Permanent nature of the position: the assigned position is permanent and blocks participation in transfer competitions for two years.
  • Submission of applications: at the General Registry of the Principality of Asturias or by electronic means in accordance with the Law 39/2015 on Common Administrative Procedure.

Economic and operational impact

For those who passed, the main impact is not economic in the strict sense, but rather geographic mobility and job stability. The position assigned will determine the workplace for at least two years, with the implications this entails in travel costs, possible change of residence, and work-life balance.

The most relevant operational points are:

  • Without a submitted application, the assignment proceeds: not submitting an application does not suspend or paralyze the process. The person who passed will receive an assignment ex officio according to their position in the ranking order, probably among the least demanded positions.
  • The applicant number conditions the strategy: the higher the applicant number (worse position in the ranking), the more positions you must include in the application and the less choice you will have.
  • Transfer block for 2 years: once the position is assigned, you cannot participate in transfer competitions for two years. This is especially relevant for those who want to move closer to their usual place of residence.

Who does it affect?

  • Officials who passed the selective process for internal promotion to the Procedural and Administrative Processing Body of the Administration of Justice, called by Order PJC/150/2024.
  • Those who passed through the competitive examination system in the same selective process.
  • Applicants whose territorial scope of destination is the Principality of Asturias.
  • Active officials who participated in the call through the internal promotion route and who must manage the change of body and position.

Practical example

Imagine you are applicant number 12 in the ranking order of the selective process in Asturias. When submitting your position request, you must mandatorily include a minimum of 12 positions in your preference list.

If among your 12 first preferences you include positions in Oviedo and Gijón, and there are available positions in those municipalities when your turn for assignment comes (by ranking order), you will be assigned the first one on your list that is available. If you do not submit an application, the system will assign you ex officio one of the positions that remain available after attending to applicants with better rankings, without possibility of choice.

In both cases, the position will be permanent and you will not be able to request a transfer for the two years following taking office.

What should those who passed do now?

  1. Verify the deadline: the 10 business day period begins on June 25, 2026. Calculate the exact expiration date excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays in Asturias.
  2. Consult the complete list of positions: review the official list published in the BOE to know all available positions by municipality and judicial body.
  3. Prepare the application with the minimum number of positions: include at least as many positions as your applicant number, ordered by real preference. The more you include, the lower the risk of mandatory assignment to an undesired position.
  4. Choose the submission channel: you can submit the application at the General Registry of the Principality of Asturias or by electronic means in accordance with Law 39/2015. The electronic method avoids travel and provides immediate proof of submission.
  5. Plan geographic mobility: given that the position is permanent and blocks transfers for 2 years, assess from now on the implications of each municipality (travel, accommodation, work-life balance) before ordering your preferences.
