Three candidates for the Procedural and Administrative Management Body of the Administration of Justice have their total scores corrected in the approved list published in May 2026. The correction, contained in the Order PJC/637/2026, occurs following the acceptance of administrative appeals filed by the interested parties and is based on article 109.2 of the Law 39/2015 on Common Administrative Procedure.
Along with the error correction, the order publishes the final sub-rankings of the territorial areas with co-official language: Catalonia, Valencian Community, Galicia, Navarre and Basque Country. These sub-rankings incorporate the scores for the official language and, in the case of the Basque Country, also those for Basque Civil Law.
What does this regulation establish?
Order PJC/637/2026 has two differentiated contents:
1. Correction of errors in the approved list (Order PJC/474/2026)
Following the favorable resolution of administrative appeals filed by candidates, the total scores of 3 people are corrected in the following areas:
- Valencian Community: at least one candidate has her total score modified.
- Ministry of Justice: at least one candidate has her total score modified.
The legal basis for this correction is article 109.2 of Law 39/2015, which allows Public Administrations to rectify at any time material, factual or arithmetic errors in their acts. The correction of a score can alter the order of preference on the list and, therefore, affect the allocation of positions.
2. Publication of final sub-rankings
The sub-rankings of the territorial areas with co-official language are published, which order the officials of the body within each territory and incorporate specific criteria:
| Territory | Additional criteria included |
|---|---|
| Catalonia | Official language score (Catalan) |
| Valencian Community | Official language score (Valencian) |
| Galicia | Official language score (Galician) |
| Navarre | Official language score (Basque/Navarrese) |
| Basque Country | Official language score (Basque) + Basque Civil Law |
These sub-rankings are final, which means they determine the order of preference for assignments and transfers within each territorial area.
Economic and operational impact
This regulation does not generate direct costs for private companies. Its impact is operational and career-related for the officials and candidates affected:
- Change of position on the list: The correction of scores of 3 candidates may alter the order of preference in the areas of the Valencian Community and the Ministry of Justice, affecting who accesses certain positions.
- Final sub-rankings: The publication of the sub-rankings of the 5 territories with co-official language closes the internal ordering process and enables the assignment processes in those areas.
- Appeal deadlines activated: From the publication in the BOE (June 25, 2026), the deadlines to challenge this order are opened: 1 month for an appeal for reconsideration and 2 months for an administrative contentious appeal.
Who does it affect?
- Candidates who participated in the selective process for internal promotion to the Procedural and Administrative Management Body of the Administration of Justice, called by Order PJC/104/2024.
- Candidates who filed administrative appeals against the approved list published in Order PJC/474/2026 and whose resolution has been accepted.
- Officials of the body in the areas of Catalonia, Valencian Community, Galicia, Navarre and Basque Country, whose position in the sub-ranking is now fixed definitively.
- Candidates in the areas of Valencian Community and Ministry of Justice whose relative position on the list may be affected by the correction of scores of the 3 candidates.
Practical example
A candidate who participated in the selective process for the area of the Valencian Community detected an error in the calculation of her total score in the list published by Order PJC/474/2026. She filed an administrative appeal with the Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts, which was accepted. As a result, Order PJC/637/2026 corrects her total score, which may improve her position in the order of preference and, consequently, expand her options to access positions with better assignment or conditions.
If this candidate does not agree with the published correction, she has 1 month from June 25, 2026 to file an appeal for reconsideration, or 2 months to resort to the administrative contentious route.
What should those affected do now?
- Consult Order PJC/637/2026 in the BOE to verify if your name or that of a colleague appears among the 3 candidates with corrected scores in the areas of the Valencian Community or the Ministry of Justice.
- Review your position on the list after the correction: if you are in the affected areas, check whether the change in scores of third parties alters your order of preference and, therefore, your access to positions.
- Consult the final sub-rankings if you belong to or aspire to an assignment in Catalonia, Valencian Community, Galicia, Navarre or Basque Country. These sub-rankings are now final and incorporate the scores for the official language and, in the case of the Basque Country, for Basque Civil Law.
- Consider filing an appeal against this order if you believe that the published correction is not correct or that your score is still erroneous: you have 1 month for an appeal for reconsideration or 2 months for an administrative contentious appeal, both from June 25, 2026.
- Consult a specialist advisor in administrative law if you have doubts about how the correction affects your specific position or if you are considering challenging the resolution.
