Those approved in the extraordinary selective process for the Procedural and Administrative Management Body of the Administration of Justice (free competition, 2022 call) already know the available positions in the Community of Madrid. The Resolution of May 22, 2026, published on June 5, 2026, sets 26 vacancies distributed among four municipalities and Madrid capital, in civil and criminal jurisdictions.
The allocation process is mandatory and definitive: the position obtained does not allow participation in transfer competitions until two years have elapsed since the allocation. Acting within the deadline and with criteria is, therefore, a decision with long-term consequences.
What does this regulation establish?
The resolution publishes the list of positions corresponding to the scope of the Community of Madrid that are offered to those approved in the extraordinary selective process called by the Order JUS/1327/2022, of December 28. The positions are distributed among the following municipalities and jurisdictional areas:
| Municipality | Jurisdictional area |
|---|---|
| Alcobendas | Civil and/or Criminal |
| Arganda del Rey | Civil and/or Criminal |
| Torrejón de Ardoz | Civil and/or Criminal |
| Madrid capital | Civil and/or Criminal |
The allocation rules are as follows:
- The allocation is mandatory and is carried out according to the scoring order obtained in the selective process.
- Applicants must submit their position request within 10 business days from the publication of the final list of approved candidates in the Official State Gazette.
- The request is processed through the Electronic Registry of the Community of Madrid.
- Those who do not request a position or do not obtain any of those requested will be assigned forcibly in alphabetical order.
- The positions have definitive character and do not allow participation in transfer competitions until two years have elapsed since the allocation.
Economic and operational impact
For those approved, the impact is not economic in the strict sense, but professional and geographical with relevant indirect economic consequences:
- Geographic mobility: The positions cover municipalities in the Madrid metropolitan area (Alcobendas, Arganda del Rey, Torrejón de Ardoz) and the capital. The choice conditions travel, transportation costs and, in some cases, the need to change residence.
- Transfer lock-in for two years: The allocated position is definitive during that period. Choosing poorly means two years of immobility, with the personal and economic cost that entails.
- Risk of forced allocation in alphabetical order: Not submitting a request or not obtaining any of the requested positions activates forced allocation. The approved candidate loses all ability to choose and may receive the least convenient position for their personal situation.
- Access to stable public employment: The 26 positions represent definitive incorporation into the Procedural and Administrative Management Body, with the remuneration conditions and stability inherent to the civil service.
Who does it affect?
- People who have passed the extraordinary selective process for the Procedural and Administrative Management Body of the Administration of Justice, free competition, called by Order JUS/1327/2022.
- Applicants who have opted for positions in the territorial scope of the Community of Madrid.
- Candidates who have not yet received a definitive position and are awaiting the final list of approved candidates in the Official State Gazette.
This regulation does not affect private companies, self-employed workers or other bodies of the Administration of Justice other than the Procedural and Administrative Management Body.
Practical example
Suppose that a candidate approved in the call JUS/1327/2022 resides in the municipality of Alcobendas. When consulting the list of positions published by this resolution, she verifies that there are vacancies available in Alcobendas (civil or criminal area). Her position in the scoring order allows her to opt for that position with preference over other applicants with lower scores.
She submits her request through the Electronic Registry of the Community of Madrid within 10 business days from the publication of the final list in the Official State Gazette, indicating the Alcobendas position as her first choice. Upon obtaining it, she is bound to that position for a minimum of two years, without the possibility of participating in transfer competitions until that period elapses.
If she had not submitted a request on time, she would have been forcibly assigned to the position corresponding to her by alphabetical order, without the possibility of choosing municipality or jurisdictional area.
What should those approved do now?
- Check the Official State Gazette daily to identify the exact date of publication of the final list of approved candidates: from that day the count of 10 business days to request a position begins.
- Review the 26 available positions in the Community of Madrid and evaluate each option according to municipality (Alcobendas, Arganda del Rey, Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid capital) and jurisdictional area (civil or criminal).
- Prepare the position request in advance: access the Electronic Registry of the Community of Madrid, have your digital certificate or Cl@ve ready, and draft your order of preference for positions.
- Submit the request within the deadline of 10 business days. Failing to submit it is equivalent to losing the ability to choose and being forcibly assigned in alphabetical order.
- Keep in mind the two-year lock-in before being able to request a transfer: the position decision has professional and personal consequences in the medium term. Consider distance to home, travel costs and preferences for jurisdictional area.
