Court Management Justice Positions in Catalonia 2026: destinations and deadlines for approved candidates

What does this regulation establish?

The resolution publishes the vacant positions in the scope of Catalonia corresponding to the extraordinary selective process for access to the Court Management and Administrative Body of the Administration of Justice, called by free competition through the competitive examination system. The positions are distributed across multiple Catalan municipalities.

The municipalities with available positions include:

• Barcelona
• Blanes
• Cornellà
• El Vendrell
• Other municipalities in the Catalan territorial scope

The allocation rules are as follows:

• Allocation order: according to the score obtained in the selective process, from highest to lowest.
• Request: exclusively by electronic means, within the 10 business day period from publication.
• Forced destination: those who do not request a position or do not obtain any of the requested ones will be forcibly assigned to unallocated positions, following alphabetical order.
• Definitive nature: the destination obtained is definitive and does not allow participation in transfer competitions until two years have elapsed.

The decisions made in this process will determine their workplace for at least two years, with all the implications this entails: cost of living, travel, possibility of work-life balance and career prospects.

• Mobility freeze for 2 years: once the destination is assigned, the civil servant cannot participate in transfer competitions until that period has elapsed. This means that the choice of position is strategic and must be made with careful consideration.
• Risk of forced destination: not requesting a position or not obtaining any of the requested ones activates the forced assignment mechanism by alphabetical order, which may result in an undesired destination in any municipality with vacant positions.
• Non-extendable deadline: the 10 business days are the only available margin. There is no subsequent correction procedure for those who do not act within the deadline.

Who does it affect?

• Candidates who have passed the extraordinary selective process called by Order JUS/1327/2022, of December 28, in the free competition through competitive examination.
• Applicants who applied for the territorial scope of Catalonia in that selective process.
• Future civil servants of the Court Management and Administrative Body of the Administration of Justice pending allocation of definitive destination.

It does not affect candidates from other autonomous communities, nor those who participated in selective processes other than the one called by Order JUS/1327/2022.

Practical example

Imagine an approved candidate in the JUS/1327/2022 process with a medium-high score, who lives in Barcelona and prefers to work in that city or in Cornellà. They have 10 business days from June 29, 2026 to access the corresponding electronic office and request, in order of preference, the available positions in Barcelona and Cornellà.

If their score is sufficiently high, they will obtain one of their preferred positions. If they do not act within the deadline, or if they request positions that have already been allocated to candidates with higher scores and do not include other options, the system will forcibly assign them a position from those not allocated, which could be in Blanes, El Vendrell or another municipality, following the alphabetical order of their surname. That destination will be definitive for at least two years, without the possibility of requesting a transfer before that period expires.

What should candidates do now?

1. Consult the list of published positions in the resolution of June 29, 2026 to identify all available municipalities in Catalonia: Barcelona, Blanes, Cornellà, El Vendrell and others.
2. Access the corresponding electronic office before the 10 business day deadline from publication expires (June 29, 2026). Paper requests and requests outside the deadline are not accepted.
3. Order destination preferences with careful consideration, including several options to reduce the risk of forced assignment. The more positions requested in order of preference, the lower the risk of unwanted assignment.
4. Confirm electronic submission and save the request receipt as proof of the procedure completed within the deadline.
5. Plan medium-term mobility keeping in mind that the assigned destination will be definitive and will not allow participation in transfer competitions for the next two years.
