Correction of excluded candidates in 2026 judicial opposition exams: what candidates must review

What does this regulation establish?

Order PJC/937/2026, of August 28, approved the final list of admitted and excluded persons in the selective processes for free access to three bodies of the Administration of Justice:

• Body of Procedural and Administrative Management
• Body of Procedural and Administrative Processing
• Body of Judicial Assistance

Following its publication, material errors were detected in Annex II (the list of excluded candidates and their exclusion reasons). Order PJC/957/2026 corrects those errors by replacing that annex in its entirety with a corrected version.

What does not change with this correction:

• The schedule of selective processes
• The exam venues already published
• The list of admitted candidates

What does change:

• The final list of excluded candidates (Annex II), which is published again in its corrected version
• The exclusion reasons assigned to each candidate in that annex

Economic and operational impact

For candidates, the impact is direct and with immediate consequences:

• Candidates who previously appeared excluded and now do not: are reinstated as admitted and can take the exam without needing to appeal.
• Candidates who remain excluded but with corrected reason: must evaluate whether the new exclusion reason is appealable or whether the previous one was an error that no longer harms them.
• Candidates who were not in Annex II and now appear: critical situation — they have 1 month to file a discretionary reconsideration appeal or 2 months for administrative litigation, both from September 14, 2026.

The cost of not acting in time is the definitive loss of the right to participate in the call, along with the investment in preparation that this entails.

Who does it affect?

• Candidates who submitted applications for the opposition exams called by Order PJC/1549/2025, of December 22, for free access to the bodies of Procedural Management, Procedural Processing and Judicial Assistance.
• Candidates who appeared in Annex II of Order PJC/937/2026 (list of excluded) and want to verify if their situation has changed.
• Candidates who did not appear in the previous Annex II and now appear in the corrected version.
• Opposition exam preparation academies and advisors managing candidate files.

Practical example

Imagine a candidate for the Body of Procedural and Administrative Processing consulted Order PJC/937/2026 published on August 28 and verified that their name did not appear in Annex II (excluded), so they assumed they were admitted.

Following the correction published on September 14, 2026, that same candidate now appears in the new Annex II due to an error in the documentation provided. From that date, they have exactly one month — until October 14, 2026 — to file a reconsideration appeal with the calling body, or two months — until November 14, 2026 — to pursue administrative litigation. If they do not act, the exclusion becomes final.

The inverse case also occurs: a candidate excluded in August who, upon reviewing the new annex, verifies that their name no longer appears. In that case, they are automatically admitted and can take the exam without additional procedures.

What should candidates do now?

1. Consult the new Annex II published in the BOE of September 14, 2026 and verify if your name appears, has disappeared, or if the exclusion reason has changed compared to the previous version.
2. If you were previously excluded and now do not appear: you are admitted. Verify the exam venue already published in Order PJC/937/2026 and prepare for the test.
3. If you now appear excluded for the first time or with a different reason: act before October 14, 2026 (reconsideration appeal) or November 14, 2026 (administrative litigation). Do not wait: the deadlines are non-extendable.
4. If you remain excluded with the same reason: evaluate with a professional whether that reason is appealable. The deadlines also run from September 14, 2026.
5. Do not modify exam schedule: the calendar and venues have not changed. If you are admitted, go to the venue already communicated.
