What does this regulation establish?

Order PJC/872/2026 corrects material errors detected in Annex I of Order PJC/794/2026. The latter, in turn, modified the list of approved candidates originally published in Order PJC/91/2025, of January 24, resulting from the extraordinary selection process called by Order JUS/1327/2022, of December 28.

The specific changes introduced by the correction are:

• Update of scores of candidates included in Annex I of Order PJC/794/2026.
• Modification of the order of precedence of approved candidates as a consequence of the corrected scores.
• The corrections affect the two indicated territorial areas: Asturias and Catalonia.
• They apply to both the general category and the reserve category for persons with disabilities.

Economic and operational impact

For affected candidates, the impact is not economic in the strict sense, but rather career and access to public employment. A change in score can mean:

• Moving up or down positions in the order of precedence, which determines the priority for choosing destination.
• In borderline cases, the difference between obtaining or losing a position in the selection process.
• Changes in the territorial destination assigned (Asturias or Catalonia), with direct consequences for the candidate's personal and professional life.

From an operational perspective, the correction is already in force as of August 20, 2026. There is no transitional period: the corrected list replaces the previous one with immediate effect.

Who does it affect?

• Candidates who participated in the extraordinary selection process for the Judicial Assistance Corps of the Administration of Justice called by Order JUS/1327/2022.
• Candidates whose position or destination corresponds to the territorial areas of Asturias or Catalonia.
• Applicants included in the general category or in the reserve category for persons with disabilities.
• Any person appearing in Annex I of Order PJC/794/2026 whose score or position may have been altered.

Practical example

Imagine that a candidate appears on the list of approved candidates in Catalonia in the general category with a score that, after the correction, turns out to be 0.15 points higher than published in Order PJC/794/2026. That adjustment could move them several positions up in the order of precedence, allowing them to access a destination that was previously out of reach.

Similarly, a candidate in the reserve category for persons with disabilities in Asturias whose score is reduced by the correction could see their position altered with respect to other applicants, with the consequent impact on position assignment.

In both cases, if the candidate believes that the correction does not correctly reflect their situation, they have one month to file an optional administrative review appeal or two months to resort to the contentious-administrative route, counted from August 20, 2026.

What should those affected do now?

1. Check the BOE of August 20, 2026 and locate the corrected Annex I of Order PJC/872/2026 to verify if your score or position has changed with respect to Order PJC/794/2026.
2. Compare your previous and current position in the order of precedence, in both the general category and reserve for persons with disabilities, as applicable.
3. Evaluate if the correction harms you: if you believe your score or position is incorrect after the correction, act within the legal deadlines.
4. File an optional administrative review appeal before September 20, 2026 if you choose the prior administrative route.
5. File a contentious-administrative appeal before October 20, 2026 if you choose directly the judicial route (or after the resolution of the administrative review appeal).
