The access requirements are as follows:

• Higher university degree: Bachelor's degree, Degree, Engineering or Architecture (any specialty, as long as it is of higher level).
• Upper-level training in the three preventive specialties:
  • Workplace Safety
  • Industrial Hygiene
  • Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology

Having the three specialties is a cumulative requirement, not an alternative one. A candidate who only accredits one or two specialties does not meet the required profile. This upper-level training in OHS is usually obtained through master's degrees or specific university programs enabled by occupational health and safety regulations.

Economic and operational impact

For the candidate, the direct cost of participating in the process is minimal: 32 euros exam fee. Electronic processing eliminates travel for document submission, although the candidate must attend the tests in person in Madrid.

For UNED, filling this position means incorporating a higher-level technician in its Occupational Health and Safety Service, with the classification Group I, Level B, which corresponds to the most qualified professional categories of university labor personnel. The position is financed within the 2025 Public Employment Offer, indicating that the budget allocation was already planned.

From an operational perspective, the requirement of the three preventive specialties at upper level is the most restrictive filter of the call. It is not a generalist profile: a technician with comprehensive OHS training is sought, capable of managing the three areas of prevention independently.

An OHS technician with a Bachelor's degree in Labor Sciences and a university master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety who accredits the three specialties (Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology) fully meets the required profile.

This candidate must act as follows within the 20 business day deadline from September 16, 2026:

1. Access UNED's electronic office and complete the online application form.
2. Pay the exam fee of 32 euros through the enabled electronic payment system.
3. Attach documentation proving the higher university degree and upper-level training in the three preventive specialties.

If the candidate submits the application after the deadline or does not accredit any of the three specialties, they will be excluded from the process without possibility of subsequent correction on that point. The call does not allow in-person or paper processing.

What should candidates do now?

1. Verify compliance with requirements: Confirm that you have a higher university degree and upper-level training in the three preventive specialties (Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology). Without all three, it is not possible to apply.

4. Process the application exclusively electronically: Access UNED's electronic office, complete the form and pay the 32 euros fee. No other channel is accepted.
5. Keep the submission and payment receipt: Save the electronic application receipt and payment proof as evidence of participation in the process.
