The Joint Resolution of July 10, 2026 of the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) and the Health Authority of the Community of Madrid convenes a competition for access to linked positions, published in the BOE on July 21, 2026 with immediate effect.

These positions respond to the replacement rate approved in the UAM Public Employment Offer 2025, which sets the maximum number of positions that can be convened and the budgetary framework that supports them.

What does this regulation establish?

The resolution regulates an access competition —not a free opposition— to linked positions of university teaching staff in the field of Health Sciences, with the particularity that the positions are joint between the university and the Madrid public health system.

The participation requirements are as follows:

The process includes the publication of provisional and final lists of admitted candidates, with the possibility of appeal between one and the other. Once the competition is resolved, whoever obtains the position is bound to it for a minimum of two years before being able to compete at another university.

Economic and operational impact

The direct cost for the candidate is the fee of 77.10 euros, paid at the time of application. However, there are total exemptions for the following groups:

• People in a situation of unemployment
• People with recognized disability
• Victims of terrorism
• Victims of gender-based violence
• Members of large families

Beyond the fee, the main operational impact is the minimum two-year commitment to the position obtained. This means that a candidate who already holds a position at another university must assess whether they are in a position to assume that commitment to tenure before applying.

From an institutional perspective, the positions are limited by the replacement rate of the UAM OEP 2025, which means that the number of vacancies is structurally limited and responds to previous departures or retirements, not to an expansion of staff.

Their specific steps would be:

1. Verify that their accreditation is current and corresponds to the teaching staff body of the advertised position.
2. Access the UAM electronic headquarters and complete the application within the established deadline.
3. Pay the fee of 77.10 euros (or prove exemption if unemployed, has recognized disability, is a victim of terrorism or gender-based violence, or is a member of a large family).
4. Consult the provisional lists of admitted candidates and, if applicable, submit an appeal before the publication of the final lists.
5. If you obtain the position, assume the commitment of minimum two-year tenure at the UAM before being able to compete at another university.

What should candidates do now?

1. Verify accreditation: Check that you have current accreditation in accordance with RD 678/2023 for the teaching staff body corresponding to the advertised position.
2. Review the specialist degree: Confirm that the healthcare specialist degree is the one required for the specific position you are applying for.
3. Access the UAM electronic headquarters: The application is exclusively electronic; no paper or in-person applications are accepted.
4. Prepare fee exemption documentation (if applicable): Unemployed persons, people with disabilities, victims of terrorism or gender-based violence, and large families must prove their status to be exempt from the 77.10 euros.
