Candidates for fixed-term labor personnel at the Ministry of Industry and Tourism now have a specific date for the first exercise. The Under-Secretary has approved the provisional lists of admitted and excluded candidates for the professional groups M2, M1 and E2, called in July 2026 under the IV Single Collective Agreement for labor personnel of the General State Administration.

The Resolution of October 13, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of October 16, 2026, starts the clock for excluded or omitted applicants: the correction period is 10 business days and the channel is the administracion.gob.es portal. After that deadline without action, the only option is to file a lawsuit before the Social Courts of Madrid.

What does this regulation establish?

The resolution approves the provisional lists of persons admitted and excluded from the selective process for admission as fixed-term labor personnel in groups M2, M1 and E2, both through open competition and internal promotion. It also sets the dates, time and place of the first exercise of the competitive phase.

The specialties are distributed across two different exam dates:

Exam DateGroupSpecialty
January 16, 2027M1General Maintenance
January 16, 2027M1Graphic Arts
January 16, 2027E2Graphic Arts
January 16, 2027E2Electrical Installations
January 23, 2027M2Psychology
January 23, 2027M2Graphic Design
January 23, 2027M1Risk Prevention
January 23, 2027M1Chemistry

All exams are held in the same location: Paseo de la Castellana 160, Madrid, at 10:00 hours.

Candidates must bring:

  • ID or other valid identification document
  • Black or blue ink pen
  • No electronic devices

If a candidate appears as excluded or omitted in the provisional lists, they can correct the defects through the administracion.gob.es portal within 10 business days following publication in the Official Gazette. If this period passes without correction, the only option for appeal is to file a lawsuit before the Social Courts of Madrid.

Economic and operational impact

For candidates, the impact is direct: a fixed-term labor position in the General State Administration means job stability, compensation regulated by collective agreement and consolidated rights. Missing the correction deadline by not reviewing the provisional lists could mean being excluded from the process without any administrative recourse option.

From an operational perspective, candidates should keep in mind:

  • The provisional lists are the first formal filter of the process: any documentary or data error can be corrected now, but not later.
  • The 10 business day period is short. Counting from October 16, 2026, the deadline expires approximately at the end of October 2026.
  • Correction is carried out exclusively through the administracion.gob.es portal, not in person.
  • After publication of the final lists, the only available option is judicial proceedings before the Social Courts of Madrid.

Who does it affect?

  • Candidates who applied to the July 2026 call for groups M2, M1 and E2 of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism.
  • Candidates in the specialties of General Maintenance, Graphic Arts, Electrical Installations, Psychology, Graphic Design, Risk Prevention and Chemistry.
  • Candidates accessing through both the general system of open competition and internal promotion.
  • Labor personnel of the General State Administration subject to the IV Single Collective Agreement who participate through internal promotion.

Practical example

A candidate for the specialty M1 Risk Prevention checks the provisional lists published on October 16, 2026 and discovers that they appear as excluded due to an error in their ID number in the application. They have until the end of the 10 business day period (approximately October 30, 2026) to access administracion.gob.es, provide the correct documentation and correct the defect.

If they do not act within that period, they will be permanently excluded from the lists and will not be able to take the exam on January 23, 2027 at Paseo de la Castellana 160. The only option left would be to file a lawsuit before the Social Courts of Madrid, with the cost and uncertainty that entails.

On the other hand, if they correct properly and appear in the final lists, they must present themselves on January 23, 2027 at 10:00 hours with their ID and black or blue ink pen, without electronic devices.

What should candidates do now?

  1. Check the provisional lists immediately on the administracion.gob.es portal or in the Official Gazette to verify if you appear as admitted, excluded or omitted.
  2. If you are excluded or omitted, act before the 10 business days expire from October 16, 2026. Access administracion.gob.es and correct the documentary defects indicated.
  3. 4. Prepare the required documentation: ID or valid identification document and black or blue ink pen. Do not bring electronic devices to the exam.
  5. If you do not correct within the deadline and believe your exclusion is unjust, the available option is to file a lawsuit before the Social Courts of Madrid. Consult with a professional before taking action.
