Grants and subsidies in Spain

Spain runs thousands of grants and subsidies across central government, the regions and town councils: direct aid for companies and the self-employed, study grants, long-term care benefits and subsidies for social or cultural projects. The hard part is rarely that they do not exist — it is hearing about them in time, because nearly all are published in an official gazette with a short application window.

Latest calls published

Who can apply

  • Companies and the self-employed: investment, hiring, digitalisation or sector-specific aid.
  • Individuals and families: study grants, long-term care, rent or childcare support.
  • Non-profits: grants for social, cultural or development projects.
  • Public employees: grants and benefits from the civil-service mutual funds (MUFACE, ISFAS, MUGEJU).

Where they are published

National rules and calls appear in the BOE and are recorded in the National Subsidy Database.

Do not miss the deadline

Windows are short — often 10 to 30 working days — and start the day after the call appears in the gazette.
