If you have passed the competition for the Technical Engineers Corps of Naval Arsenals, the clock is already ticking. The Resolution 430/38388/2026, published on September 21, 2026 by the Under-Secretariat of Defense, makes the final list of approved candidates official and activates the deadline for submitting documentation. Failing to submit it on time is equivalent to renouncing your position.

The process was called through Resolution 430/38507/2025, of November 27, 2025, using the general open access system. Now, with the publication of approved candidates, the administrative phase begins that determines who actually occupies their position.

What does this regulation establish?

The resolution publishes the final list of candidates who have passed the open access selection process for the Technical Engineers Corps of Naval Arsenals. Approved candidates are distributed across seven specialty programs:

The destinations offered for selected candidates are located in the following cities:

• Cádiz
• Madrid
• Ferrol
• Cartagena
• Las Palmas
• Marín
• Pozuelo de Alarcón

Regarding positions reserved for persons with disabilities, the resolution expressly establishes that positions not filled by this quota are not accumulated to the general quota. This is a relevant point that affects the final count of available positions.

Economic and operational impact

For approved candidates, the impact is immediate and operational in nature: the position is only consolidated if the documentary procedure is completed within the established deadline. There is no automatic extension or second opportunity described in the resolution.

From the public sector perspective, the incorporation of new Technical Engineers in seven specialties strengthens the technical capacity of arsenals and Navy units distributed throughout Spanish territory. The specialties covered—from Computer Science and Telecommunications to Naval and Surveying—respond to specific operational needs of military facilities.

For candidates, the assigned destination will determine both the geographic location and the remuneration conditions linked to the specific position within the corps. The destination request is part of the documentation that must be submitted within the 20 business day deadline, so it is a step that cannot be left for later.

Who does it affect?

• Approved candidates in the open access selection process for the Technical Engineers Corps of Naval Arsenals, called in November 2025.
• Candidates from the seven programs: Industrial, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Surveying, Electronics, Mechanical and Naval.
• Candidates with reserved positions for disability who have passed the process, given that unfilled positions in their quota do not pass to the general quota.
• Candidates on waiting lists who could be affected by the resignation or exclusion of approved candidates who do not submit documentation on time.

Practical example

An engineer approved in the Computer Science program receives notification of their inclusion in the final list on September 21, 2026. From that day, they have 20 business days to access the electronic office and electronically submit:

• University degree certifying the specialty
• Sworn statement
• Valid ID
• Medical certificate
• Destination request (among available options: Cádiz, Madrid, Ferrol, Cartagena, Las Palmas, Marín or Pozuelo de Alarcón)

If this candidate does not submit the documentation within the deadline—for example, because they wait to obtain the medical certificate and miss the date—they will permanently lose their position and all their actions in the process will be voided. There is no provision in the resolution for correction for this reason.

What should approved candidates do now?

1. Verify your inclusion in the final list published in the BOE of September 21, 2026 (Resolution 430/38388/2026). Check your name, program and identifying data.
2. Calculate the exact deadline: the 20 business days begin on September 21, 2026. Subtract Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays to determine the actual deadline.
3. Gather all required documentation before the deadline expires: university degree, sworn statement, ID, medical certificate and destination request. Do not wait until the last day to request the medical certificate, as it can take several days to obtain.
4. Decide on your destination request among the available locations: Cádiz, Madrid, Ferrol, Cartagena, Las Palmas, Marín and Pozuelo de Alarcón. This decision is part of the documentation and cannot be modified after submission.
5. Submit all documentation electronically through the channel enabled by the Under-Secretariat of Defense. In-person submission is not provided for in the resolution.
6. Keep the electronic submission receipt as proof of having completed the procedure on time.
