+40 New Positions in Catalonia for Case Management: What Changes and What You Must Do

• 1 position in Figueres
• 1 position in Tarragona

Positions incorporated

More than 40 new positions are added distributed throughout Catalan territory. Among the locations with new positions are:

• Barcelona
• Amposta
• Balaguer
• Rubí
• Vic
• Sant Feliu de Llobregat

• Any approved candidate who had indicated Figueres or Tarragona as their preferred destination in their previous request and must now reformulate their choice.

Practical example

Imagine you are one of the approved candidates in the PJC/104/2024 call and in your initial position request you had marked a position in Tarragona as your first choice. With the new resolution, that position is eliminated from the offer because it must first go through a transfer competition according to RD 1451/2005.

Now you have 10 business days from August 4, 2026 to submit a new electronic request. In that new request you can opt, among others, for the positions incorporated in Barcelona, Rubí, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Vic, Amposta or Balaguer. If you do not submit the new request within the deadline, you lose the opportunity to choose among the new available options and your position assignment will be conditioned to what remains after the choices of those who did act on time.

What should those affected do now?

1. Verify if you are affected: check if you had requested a position in Figueres or Tarragona, or if the new incorporated positions (Barcelona, Amposta, Balaguer, Rubí, Vic, Sant Feliu de Llobregat or others) are of your interest.
2. Calculate the deadline: you have 10 business days from August 4, 2026 to submit the new request. Count business days carefully according to the official Catalonia calendar and do not wait until the last moment.
3. Prepare the electronic request: submission is mandatory electronically. Make sure you have your digital certificate or the identification system required by the electronic office of the Ministry of Justice operational.
4. Review the new complete list of positions: consult the full text of the resolution in the BOE (BOE-A-2026-16958) to know all available positions and their exact location before choosing.
5. Consider appealing if appropriate: if you believe that the elimination of any position harms you unjustifiably, you have one month to file a motion for reconsideration or two months for an administrative contentious appeal from the publication of the resolution.
