Spain runs thousands of grants and subsidies across central government, the regions and town councils: direct aid for companies and the self-employed, study grants, long-term care benefits and subsidies for social or cultural projects. The hard part is rarely that they do not exist — it is hearing about them in time, because nearly all are published in an official gazette with a short application window.

- Companies and the self-employed: investment, hiring, digitalisation or sector-specific aid.
- Individuals and families: study grants, long-term care, rent or childcare support.
- Non-profits: grants for social, cultural or development projects.
- Public employees: grants and benefits from the civil-service mutual funds (MUFACE, ISFAS, MUGEJU).

Windows are short — often 10 to 30 working days — and start the day after the call appears in the gazette.
